History

PanGro’s inception began with James Grogan when he was just a boy. James grew up on an estate in Ireland, working with his father on their home built in 1718. From his father, he learned the hard labor of seeing projects through from beginning to end; planning, design, and execution from building, plastering, welding, landscaping and more. His keen eye for design and style came from his mother. She was ahead of her time with interior design. She saw the added beauty and style in things like painting furniture, decades before it became a trend, using architectural hardware to add a unique flair and accenting rooms with signature antiques.

James refined his skills in school beginning at age 10 with his woodworking teacher, well known craftsman, Peter Wilson, who would become the largest influence in his life in terms of woodworking and furniture making. Wilson gave James a turn-of-the-century woodworking book that inspired him and fueled his interest in making and designing furniture.

Along with his conventional studies, James studied interior, furniture and industrial design from age 13 to 22, completing his education at College in Thame. At 21, his first major project was repurposing a 250-year-old pigsty/cow house into a two-bedroom cottage. He worked from the foundation to the interior design and fell in love with the art of renovation.  His passion became transforming dull, rundown spaces into beautiful living spaces with unique elements that reflect the owner’s individual style.

James brings his years of experience in furniture making and old home renovation and a spirit of simplicity to streamline processes to his work, setting PanGro Development apart from other companies. PanGro is steeped in an old fashioned approach to service where each client is delivered a beautiful renovation that reflects their style.
